***** case

On Sunday 16/02/2025, I went to Mrprice Home to purchase items for my new apartment. The cashier insisted that she did not scan an item and wanted to rescan the item. I asked her to go back and check if the item is scanned and when she went back, she had saw that she scanned it.

When I came home, I had realised that many items were missing from the packets and because I had bought so many items that day, I did not have the time to check. I went back to the store and complained on 17/02/2025. The entire team went to the cctv footage which they did not show to us to date. They realised it was their mistake and proceeded to say that we should have checked our packets and the items were too small which is why they did not run after us to say we forgot items. Mind you, these items were beddings and curtains(definitely not small). The entire team took each other’s part and no one took accountability for their actions. I had to drive all the way from Johannesburg South to 227 Design quarters Mrprice Home. This is absolutely inconvenient and unacceptable. Another customer had also said that the same thing had happened to her. This is a possible ***** case and it seems as though cash is being misappropriated at the store at the expense of the customers. Mrprice home needs to compensate and remediate me for the inconvenience that was faced during this time. A possible legal litigation will be filed with my lawyers should they not.

Good day,

I must say that I am extremely livid at the insult that Mrprice home provided to me on the complaint logged here on Helopeter.

Firstly I would like to reiterate that I spent more than R8000 on the original day that I made my purchase.

In response to the compliant above, the store manager Vusi called me and insulted my intelligence by offering me a R200 voucher. This is unacceptable and unreasonable.

Firstly I live in Johannesburg South, it costs me R200 to get to that Mrprice home and R200 to get back. Further to that, he originally stated that he would consult with his area manager.
When he called to offer the R200, I asked very nicely for the area managers number and he laughed unprofessionally and told me that he could not speak to the area manager and he took it upon himself to give me the R200 voucher (which he said I must still come to the store to pick up).

Throughout the conversation he was extremely unprofessional and laughed the whole way through. Further to that, he calls me back to say he will offer me a 10% discount on my next purchase in addition to the R200 which infuriated me even further because why should I spend more money to be remediated over an inconvenience caused by their team.

I am now handing the matter over to my lawyers at Clientele legal and they will then take it up with Carte Blanche as there needs to be a serious investigation done on that store.

Unprofessional, unacceptable and ********
