Cancellation of my account without notification

I had an account with Mr price and I requested for a settlement letter around March 2014 and paid off the account, When I went to purchase some stuff around June and wanted to pay with my account they told me that my account was cancelled and I need to apply for new card. I need to know as to why it was cancelled withiout my consent and why didnt they notify me if they wanted to cancel my account.<br> <br>
