Bad attitude

I recently purchased an 800cm x 800cm photo frame from them and the product must have had either a crack or been stored where it was hot (the plastic was quite dirty so I wouldn't have seen this) because the moment I got home, on unwrapping the dirty plastic, the glass inside the frame just shattered. The wrapping wasn't even half way off as yet. I have a new born baby which was lying in the couch close by and some glass that shattered fell out and landed almost too close to him. One can only imagine had it. I also cut my hand during this incident. The explosion of glass was so loud that I screamed. On reporting it to them directly they took absolutely no responsibility even though I explained same to them. They advised that it wasn't cracked on purchase however how could one tell through the plastic one can barely see through because of the dust and dirt making it unclear? Glass doesn't just shatter for no reason and I certainly was careful on unwrapping as I had guests comming over and wanted to mount it before their arrival. I now have a glassless frame and no one willing to take responsibility for it.
