Account Application Declined

I am highly upset, as I app**** for an account at Mr Price Home, and the application was declined only because I don't have a landline where I can be contacted on. At home, we only have cellphones. And at the office, we have work-cellphones. Cellphones are more practical than a landline, seeing that you can ALWAYS be reached on one. We are entering an era where cellphones are more popular than landlines, so WHY am I being declined over something as ridiculous as not having a landline, when in fact I have TWO cellphones?
