I purchased two water filters today and was not offered the purchase of a plastic bag. On querying this, I was then offered to purchase a half size bag for R4.00 !!! I do not like to be ********** so I declined. A full size plastic bag at Spar is R1.20. How does Mr Price justify this rip-off?

17 Oct 2023, 15:45While its a good idea to try and embrace sustainability, why should I, as a customer have to pay for your attempt at sustainability? Why should I pay R4 a bag when I’m only paying R1.20 at Spar where I have been using the same bags for over a year.
Your staff have clearly not been trained in this endeavour as they could not offer any explanation as to why there such a high price for a half size bag.
I am still aggrieved and find no solace in your (in my opinion) self righteous explanation.
