********* Practise - Mr Delivery Reference DFD******
I received a promotional e-mail from "Mr. D" and followed the LINK to order 2x Crunch Burgers which normally costs R29.90 each. With 2x free burgers and delivery charge (R20) , it worked out at R80 or R20/burger.
I received two burgers only. I immediately contacted KFC who contacted MrD. The customer care (sic) consultant told me that I HAD TO KEY IN THE PROMO CODE ! WHY... WHEN I FOLLOWED THE LINK ? Isn't this BORDELINE-***** or possibly a way to **** people ?
As an unemployed pensioner, who can afford to be "fleeced of R40", I FEEL FOR THOSE that are not so fortunate so use this opportunity to feed 4 people on occasion but they receive only 2 burgers because "THEY STILL NEEDED TO KEY IN A CODE" !
WHY can't the app WARN PEOPLE TO INSERT the code or WARN IF THE PROMOTION has been exhausted?
MrD flatly refuse to credit me so this seems THEIR BUSINESS MODEL that includes FALSE ADVERTISING to lure unsuspecting customers ?
I live 2km from N1 City and walk to buy food once or twice a week so.... To add insult to injury, Burger King has a better special for R30 which includes a softdrink so I WAS CLEARLY LURED INTO THE MrD "profiteering trap". Luckily there is Bolt Food and Uber Eats.
To the AUTHORITIES .... PLEASE FINE THESE SERVICE PROVIDERS HEAVILY so that they follow ETHICAL PRACTISES..
