Mr Delivery’s Refusal to Accept Responsibility After Accident
I want to share my extremely disappointing experience with Mr Delivery. On 6 June 2025, one of their drivers, Raymond Nyathi, collided with my family while riding a bike that was fully branded with Mr Delivery logos. He was wearing their uniform and carrying their delivery bag—clearly representing the company. Despite this, Mr Delivery has refused to assist with my claim, stating that the driver was “not on shift” at the time. This is unacceptable. The driver himself told me he had no insurance and that I should contact Mr Delivery for help with the claim. I followed all the correct procedures, but Mr Delivery’s team initially logged my query incorrectly, causing unnecessary delays. After finally getting the claim logged, I waited months for a response, only to be told the case was closed because they “couldn’t reach me”—which is simply not true. My legal team confirmed that Mr Delivery is responsible for their employees’ actions, regardless of shift status, especially when the driver is in full company branding and representing the business. Not only did this incident cause property damage, but it also put my family through significant trauma due to the reckless driving of a Mr Delivery representative. The lack of accountability and empathy from Mr Delivery has been shocking. I am now requesting the details for the relevant Ombudsman to escalate this matter. If I do not receive a satisfactory response, I will continue to share my experience on public platforms and name all individuals involved in this frustrating process. Mr Delivery, your refusal to take responsibility for your drivers’ actions is unacceptable. Others should be aware of how you treat customers in situations like this.
