Mr Delivery, rather Mr Non Delivery

Today I ordered food for an event, it was a substantial order. I ordered at 12H23. 13h10 I get a phone call to say that the food will be late. 14H15 there was still no delivery so I phone the call center. Needless to say I'm still awaiting the person to get back to me. I phoned 2 different different times and nobody could give me an answer besides saying they are sorry and will escalate it and they don't know what to do. Eventually I managed to send someone to collect my order, this after paying delivery fees and driver tip. Mr D, your employees need to be trained on how to deal with such situations, the only person that was decent enough to make a suggestion was a guy called Mike. 15H30 (Three hours later) someone phones to see if the order was successful, after explaining the situation she became snippy so I just told her to leave it. It's such a financial crisis in SA yet we are paying for services that still have a complete lack of work ethic, after the mark up that is put on the food plus all the extras.... its sometimes not worth it. I use Mr D as my go to order place but it's seriously made me rethink this. Especially due to the customer service or lack thereof. With this being for an event, it made me look completely *********** and has frustrated me to no end. I'm a seriously unhappy customer at the moment.
