Misleading customers

I have been ordering from Curry Up for some time, and unfortunately, I have experienced repeated problems with my orders. On numerous occasions, the naan has been burnt or only half the quantity ordered has been delivered. More recently, I have also found that there is more korma sauce than chicken in the meal. Needless to say, this has been extremely disappointing.

For this reason, on 13 August, I specifically decided to try a different curry restaurant. I found a restaurant listed on Mr D called “We Sell Flavourz” and placed my order with them, believing I was trying a completely different establishment.

Imagine my disappointment, followed by frustration and anger, when my order arrived and the packaging clearly stated “Curry Up.” To make matters worse, the naan was once again only half the quantity I had ordered.

This is extremely concerning. I deliberately chose a different restaurant because of the repeated problems I have experienced with Curry Up. If “We Sell Flavourz” is in fact supplying food from Curry Up, then this should be made absolutely clear to customers when placing an order. As it currently stands, I feel that this is misleading and amounts to false advertising.

I contacted Mr D expecting this issue to be properly investigated and addressed. Instead, the case was simply closed once a refund was issued to my Mr D wallet.

That is NOT good enough.

The refund is not the point. I did not contact Mr D simply because I wanted my money back. I wanted to find an honest and reliable curry restaurant that I could order from without repeatedly receiving incorrect or disappointing meals. Instead, I was unknowingly served by the very restaurant I was specifically trying to avoid.

I would therefore appreciate a proper explanation as to why an order placed with “We Sell Flavourz” was delivered in Curry Up packaging, and why this was not disclosed to me when I placed the order.

I also strongly believe that Mr D should investigate how these restaurants are represented on the platform, as customers should be able to make an informed choice about where they are ordering their food from.

Please do not simply close this case because a refund has been issued. The refund does not resolve the underlying complaint. I would like this matter properly investigated and a meaningful response provided.
