FNB Card Saga
Firstly, this is in no way a reflection on FNB's service, without them I would not have any answers.
My fiancé and I went into our FNB branch to sort out the paperwork for our credit card and we were informed that delivery would take up to 5 days. Everything was activated from their side as our card showed up on our internet banking. We then received an SMS stating that Mr D Courier will be in touch to arrange delivery of our credit card. We were also provided a contact number for any queries. A week later and we had still heard nothing from this courier company, not even a follow up SMS. The number provided is completely useless. I was unable to get through to anyone on the multiple occasions that I tried. I eventually went back to our FNB branch hoping they would be able to assist me. It took the lady there about half an hour but by some miracle she was able to get through to Mr D. When I took over the phone call I was appalled by the service coming from the other end. Mr D informed me that my delivery had not been scheduled. When I stated that this was unacceptable the lady said that they tried phoning but there was no answer. My fiancé and I have no record of this attempted phone call. When I informed her of this her attitude got even worse. She said that our card would be delivered to our branch the next day and put the phone down in my ear. I was not even provided with a reference number to follow up should this delivery not happen (which is highly likely given their current track record).
I have tried to Google this company and the only hits that pop up are other Hello Peter posts about equally poor service. Something needs to be done about this so I hope my complaint reaches the necessary parties!!
