Driver drives away with my food

I placed an order on the Mr D app. After 40 mins I checked my phone to see how far the driver is, It then said my order has failed and the driver drove away with my food just because I never saw the notification on my phone. The driver did not ring my bell nor call my phone. How pathetic I am now liable to pay for an order that I did not receive. The help team is of no help that just send one message saying they cannot compensate me. So that just mean all drivers can drive away with our food if we do not sit on our phone and wait for the notification. Terrible service. Hence uber eats for the win they would never handle a situation like this. Mr D did not even want to listen to what I have to say.
