Credit card payments with no OPT. NO SECURE PAYMENT METHODS

I am extremely disappointed with the services of Mr. D.

An order was placed for collection from a reputable restaurant. Payment was made without my consent or knowledge (no OPT was provided to the card holder).

When I received this notification, I immediately informed the restaurant to cancel the request to which they were very accommodating and understood what had transpired. They then advised me to inform Mr. D of this so that it can also be canceled on their side. I had then called Mr. D so do so. The agent was not very helpful in hearing my complaint. He had stated that since it was an order for collection, there was nothing that could be done. He then went on to informing me about the app structure and collection rules. I had then stated that I am a customer who did not place this order and someone else's credit card was used without their consent with no OPT provided. As a customer I do not know the technical details behind their app. He then rudely informed me about being liable for their terms and conditions. However, their terms and conditions about having secure credit card payments were not followed through.

An order was placed 60kms away from my residence. I queried this as it made no sense to collect an item that I did not want. Vouchers were even available but that was not used. Instead the higher pick up price was used.

I had requested a relative stop buy to this restaurant and they were extremely accommodating and stated that they would not charge for this situation.

I then received an email from Mr. D and one of the managers had stated that they tried to contactvthe restaurant but were not successful in canceling this order. To which I had relayed my recent encounter and provided the number for the restaurant. Afterwards, I had not received communication fromr. D.

I am afraid to use the app in future as anyone can access this app and credit card payments are not secure.

Since another person's credit card was used without their approval, I had to reimburse the amount of R200 that was taken from their credit
