Card Delivery Horror

So I decided to open a credit card account with FNB. I get an sms saying that Mr D will be in touch with me in connection with the delivery. I wait some time and then decide to give them a which point I am told that the card will be dispatched the same day and I will get it before 5:00 PM. So here I am sitting in the office on the day I was meant to knock off at 1:00 PM. I call them time and time again asking about the status of the delivery and I’m still told it is enroute. Amongst other people from Mr D that I speak with are the likes of a guy called Siphiwe who just tells me he doesn’t know when I will get the card but he is sure that it will be the same day and that I shouldn’t be asking him about technicalities.

Out of panic as I have been sitting for 4 hours waiting for the delivery I call ********** 500 for the hundredth time and I speak with a lady called Nicole who is sweet and help and promises to call me back with feedback on the status. She get back to me at 17:43 telling me that the card will arrive shortly at the Fordsburg and as a result I drive there and sit for an hour like a beggar only to be disappointed. Mind you this is a day that I should be driving to go and spend time with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. The promise of Premier banking from FNB is that you “won’t spend time in “ queues” and I’ve lot of time on that I have barely been with them for 5 days.

I then call takealot and speak with a girl called Erin who tells me that I should call FNB and I try to explain to her that the card has been dispatched and is with Mr D but just won’t listen and cuts the call sending me to a voice recording that I says that I called outside of office hours when I called during working hours.

I’m not happy with the level service I have received. I had to cancel plans I had with my wife and a sorry from these companies won’t cut it. The service from FNB, Mr D and takealot has been appalling.
