Abyssal complaint
I have always received good service from the drivers and generally a good experience on the app. But when something goes wrong, be prepared for a long painful journey to sort it out. This particular circumstance is the third time this has happened to me and feel it necessary to post it to Peter. I was delivered a meal from Ocean basket about 2 weeks ago that had none of the sauces I specifically ordered... on any of the dishes. Meal was dry. edible but unenjoyable. Restaurants fault, not Mr D's fault, fine. They send me a R15 voucher. Ok. Not good enough compensation in my opinion but mistakes happen and I will leave it at that. I try said voucher a few days later and it was invalid. It expired in Feb. I email back asking letting them know that they tried to rectify a mistake with an invalid voucher and should really check these things. I get ZERO response for days. I email again to follow up. I get a "free delivery voucher". to no monetary value, unlike the original one. I ask to be called. Nothing. I ask to have the matter escalated in hopes of a resolution (principle). Nothing. STILL NOTHING! Have I been lost in the system, am I too small fry for Mr D to care about the problem? Perhaps, but I will state now that it is the small things that push customers over to any one of the MANY other options for food delivery at the moment.
