Theft of money by Pleasure Resort "Mount Amanzi"

Good day.

I have been a Time Share Holder with the Pleasure Resort "Mount Amanzi" for over 20 years. I purchased one week a year, which myself and my family have used every year since, with my levies always being up to date.

Unfortunately, this year, I suffered a heart attack, and with the medical costs, could not afford to pay this year's Levy. And obviously, I could not use the week in October, as I usually do.

On the 16th of November, 2018, I went to Mount Amanzi, and was booked in as a Day Visitor. I decided that I would like to use the week that I hadn't used yet this year, and requested Management to give me the amount owing in order to gain access for the week.

They then ensured me that if I paid the amount of R3 850.00, I could utilise my week immediately.

Upon paying the said amount, Management suddenly changed their minds, and informed me that I was no longer a Member of the Establishment, and had me escorted off the premises.

My question is: " Why did they first take my money, and then only decide that I was not welcome?"

After demanding my money back, they quickly informed me that it could take up to 2 weeks to refund, after an "investigation of the matter".

What is there to investigate? They took my money, for time that was not used by myself at all.

Could they not decide this BEFORE TAKING MY MONEY?

I have sent numerous e-mails demanding my money back, but simply get told that I would have to wait as long as it takes for them to decide to refund OR NOT.

As a life-long Patron to this Resort, I am bitterly disappointed in the way I was treated.

I hereby demand a refund within 24 hours, as I SEE THIS AS THEFT.
