Selling on false information

I bought a used bakkie from this dealership in July this year. The salesman, Louis Smith assured me it was a 2017 model, hence the low mileage. I took delivery in July with the mileage on 541 km only. I took the vehicle last week Friday for the 1st service as it has now done 9984 km and Toyota told me the vehicle had its 1st service already on the 23rd of June this year as it was then 1 year old. It was bought on 30/6/2016 and furthermore sold again to a new owner in October 2016. According to Toyota it is a 2016 model and the value of this vehicle will be that of a 2016 model which is not what I paid for.

Secondly, they only managed today, the 23rd of October to deliver the licence disk which means I drove without a valid disk for 3 months.

I took this up with management, Danie Vermaak who tried to convince me it is a 2017 model and the date it was sold had nothing to do with the year model. He referred me to the Natis document that clearly states "date of liability for first licensing/NOT YEAR MODEL!!"

They are not prepared to compensate me and challenged me to go to the ombudsman for motor vehicles, which is exactly what I will do!
