Rude Manager

Its with a sad and disappointed heart that I have to write this bad review about Lindsay sake Midrand.

I took my car in about 2 weeks back for service and was advised that my brake pads were worn out, I advised the service consultant (Lappies) that I would change them myself he didn't have to do it because they wanted to charge me R2000 to do it and I didn't have that money. So i went and bought myself the pads and attempted to change them myself, started with the left hand side, went successfully on the left but when trying the remove the caliber on the right my L&N key that i used wouldn't fit, was just slipping. I went back to Lindsay saker to ask them what the issue might be so Lappies told me to book in the car and he would check for me since the car is still under warranty (this was on Friday last week). This morning I take in my car for them to check, he then turns around, tells me that they going to charge me so I'm like what are you charging me for because the car is under warranty and obviously there's something wrong with the nuts on that caliber or something? We couldn't come to a mutual solution as his mandate was to make money unnecessarily out of me, he then referred me to his RUDE MANAGER (George) who at first before even understanding the issue started raising his voice at me(the customer) telling me that he's not gonna work for free and that he's gonna charge me or he wont work on my car otherwise i must call vw head office and log a complaint.

The very same Lindsay sake Midrand had my car steering column replaced, my interior covers were not installed and aligned back properly, covers loose, my roof and windscreen pillars dirty with oily finger prints from the technicians who were working on the car. When i took in the car for the steering column, the car was there for 2 weeks for this to be done(how hard was it to change a steering column?) and for the car to come back in that state? My indicators were not working. I took it back and they cleaned and tried to align back the covers and still did not get the indicators working and they said i must take the car for alignment (shouldn't this be part of the work done?)

I left the car there this morning, i don't know if they will fix it or not but i told them i am not going to pay for anything, i have never replaced my brake pads before, if there's an issue there with the caliber then they must have done something to it when they were checking the brakes when i was there for service (wouldn't put it past them judging on the work they did replacing the steering column) or the car must have came like that from the dealer when I bought it, as far as i know I'm th first owner and only Lindsay sake Midrand works on that car until now when I tried to replace the pads.

Bottom line is, this branch is very *********** and lack customer satisfactory s****s. For a manager to go off at me like that without even understanding my issue or could it be the color of my skin? I dont know. But i am very disappointed.
