Poor Workmanship

I`ve been dealing with this dealership since I bought the vehicle two years ago.

According to high standards and the excellent condition of my vehicle I`ve received a poor service from this dealership of late. It leaves a lot to be desired.

These are the complaints I have:

The vehicle was booked in for it had no power and I suspected an electrical fault and requested them to check the fuse box and the electrical system:

For the first week the vehicle was booked in 3 days and a diagnostic test was conducted.

It was identified that a wire was worn off, affecting the power source on the vehicle and that a relay for the engine compartment has gone faulty.

On return of the vehicle and R 3000 later, we discovered that the rear window wiper, window washer and both lighter sockets were still not working.

We returned the vehicle the next Monday and it was there for further repairs until Thursday.

They discovered that another relay was also faulty and replaced it.

The vehicle was collected and my wife discovered that the windscreen was cracked.

It was taken up with the consultant, then with the workshop manager and then with the dealer principle.

It took the dealer principal 4 days to respond and his responds was that they cannot take responsibility for the damaged windscreen.

He said that they left the vehicle in the sun and the heat caused the windscreen to crack.

I would like to know, why did the vehicle had to go back for two consecutive weeks for an electrical problem that was supposed to have been identified by the diagnostic test.

Communication at this dealership is almost none existing.

Losing my out bonus and paying the excess to replace the windscreen threw my insurance has cost me a further R1975 and that due to the negligence of the Kempton park Lindsaysaker dealership.
