My Golf 7 GTI had to go in to Lindsay Saker Boksburg for a warranty related issue, the first issue was that I had to wait for a week to get the spares to sort out the vehicle and once the parts arrived I was told I have to wait another two weeks for a courtesy vehicle as the repair will take two days.
Luckily they could get me courtesy vehicle within three working days. My vehicle was collected from VW on 08/12/2015 but would not start, apparently the battery had to be removed to get to the air manifold which also reset al the data of the vehicle. For some reason VW had to test drive the vehicle for (44Km) to see if the engine light still came on.
I had to take my vehicle back to VW on 09/12/2015 due to a battery issue, the battery would not charge while driving, for some reason the battery had to be replaced overnight.... And the worst thing is there is a two week lead time for a battery. I am not impressed with VW at this point. You could see the sticker on the battery has been removed, in my opinion my battery has been changed out for someone else's. I would like VW to cross reference the battery serial number with my vehicle.
