Multifunction Steering wheel Controls

I Bought a Polo 250 1.2 Comfortline TSI in August 2014 Yet to this day no one can assist me in fixing the problem. I went to Barons Woodmead and to Lindsay Fourways and both came to the same result. I personally think this is unfair to the consumer as they state that Certain models were made like that and cannot be fixed. Its an inconvenience to use the radio to answer the phone when driving or changing folders on radio for songs. Can Someone please assist me urgently to get this fixed ASAP
