little to no engine oil after oil change service

I serviced my car with linsay saker VW Fourways, taking advantage of their minor service(oil change) special for R999 in February 2025. Everything went well and I took my car and left after they performed what they had to(oil change).

Mid mid-March I checked my oil at the filling station before my long trip out of the province and I was told the car needs oil, and I said no way because it just came back from service and it doesn't leak any oil. proceeded to drive and on my way the the acceleration was poor and on steep it kept losing power. didn't know what the issue was. Yesterday I checked the oil again and there was little to nothing in the engine. I'm just so disappointed in the job they did, perhaps it was because when they quoted me on other issues, I said they needed to do an oil change only. It appears to me that this was done deliberately because of the price. I'm just glad that I managed to see it before something costly and bad happened.

My advice, verify that the jobs were carried out as they should before leaving the place. I know it's something we normally don't do, but better than having to replace an engine.
