Independently owned, so no accountability for actions

We paid them R15 000 to service our VW Up and to replace the cambelt. The cambelt only lasted 10 600 kilometers and snapped. It cost us over R50 000 to get the vehicle running again. The warranty on the cambelt is only 1 year. They **** for months saying that samples were sent to Germany, and only now said that they never did. VW South Africa just said that they are independently owned, so they can't force them to answer our queries. So don't think you are doing the right thing to go to a VW dealer to service your car. No one holds them accountable!!
