Extremely Disappointed with Motus VW Bloemfontein's After-Sales Service and Vehicle Condition

I am writing to share my extremely disappointing experience with Motus VW Bloemfontein following the purchase of a vehicle from their dealership on the 04 of April 2025. I purchased a vehicle from Motus VW Bloemfontein through sales consultant Mr Lebohang Joseph. As a customer, I trusted that the vehicle had been thoroughly inspected, was roadworthy, and met the quality standards expected from a reputable dealership. However, after only four months of ownership, I took the vehicle for a service and was shocked to receive a report indicating that the brake pads would not last until the next scheduled service and that the rear left tyre was already worn out and required replacement. This immediately raised serious concerns for me. How is it possible that a vehicle sold as roadworthy develops such significant wear-related issues within only four months? Brake pads and tyres are critical safety components, and discovering these problems so soon after purchase naturally made me question the condition of the vehicle at the time it was sold. Seeking answers, I contacted the dealership and requested an explanation. Instead of receiving assistance, I was repeatedly told that the vehicle had passed a roadworthy inspection before being sold. While I acknowledge that a roadworthy certificate was issued, this response failed to address my concerns regarding the rapid deterioration of key safety components in such a short period. Unsatisfied with the response, I was referred to the Dealer Principal, Mr Thabo, who assured me that he would investigate the matter and get back to me. Unfortunately, despite this commitment, my subsequent calls went unanswered, and no meaningful follow-up was provided. Being ignored after raising legitimate concerns as a customer is both frustrating and unacceptable. What disappoints me most is not only the condition of the vehicle but also the poor after-sales service and lack of accountability shown when I attempted to seek clarification. As a customer, I expected transparency, professionalism, and a genuine effort to address my concerns. Instead, I was left to deal with the situation on my own and cover the costs necessary to ensure the vehicle remains safe to drive. I purchased my vehicle from Motus VW Bloemfontein with confidence in their brand and reputation. Unfortunately, my experience has left me questioning both the quality of the vehicles being sold and the level of customer care provided after the sale has been completed. I believe potential customers deserve to know about experiences such as mine before making purchasing decisions. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Motus VW Bloemfontein due to the condition of the vehicle sold to me and the disappointing manner in which my concerns were handled.

For the sake of transparency and credibility, I wish to state that I have retained documentary evidence supporting my complaint. This includes the service report indicating the condition of the brake pads and rear left tyre, as well as written communication and correspondence between myself and representatives of the dealership regarding this matter. These records clearly demonstrate the concerns I raised, the responses I received, and the lack of satisfactory resolution despite my efforts to engage the dealership in good faith. Should it become necessary, I am prepared to provide this evidence to substantiate every claim made in this complaint.

I hope management takes this complaint seriously and implements measures to improve both vehicle inspections and customer service standards in the future.
