Dooped Out Of Collecting My New Car

I had told the Salesman at Lindsay Saker VW Fourways on the Friday (03/02/2017) that I want the car (Tiguan 1,4 TSI R Line) & signed the Offer To Purchase.

Saturday I went into the dealer again with all my details requires (ID; Purchase Questionair etc). The Salesman indicated my car will be ready for collection Monday (06/02/2017).

Monday morning I contacted the dealership again and was told that everything was with the Dealership New Vehivcle Manager and she would be contacting me shortly.

She did via email and eventually said everything was approved and in order. All this before lunch.

I then sent an email (2pm) to the Salesman and asked what I could collect my vehicle.

I got a reply that he would contact me in 30min he was with a client.

After about 30min at (14h37) I recieved a call saying unfortunatley the car I wanted was not available anymore but he had found another with better optional extras etc.

The only issue it wasnt the colour I wanted and it would take a further 10days.

I had taken off work already to collect. Changed the insurance from the car I am trading in to the new one and asked my wife to leave her work early as she would have to sign as we married in community of property.

I went to visit the dealership and the explanation given to me by the Salesman was that it was a first come first serve!

This after telling me on the Friday he would book the car for me to prevent anyone else selling the car as well as remove it from the dealerships floor (this wasnt done as the car was still there on the floor the Saturday I went in!).

The Dealer Principle & Saleman were no help at all they repeated the same thing the salesman said.

This is disgusting service!
