Delays in getting vehicle licence disc after sale

<p>On the 1st of December 2016 I received my newly purchased VW Move Up from Rayner Nothnagel from Lindsay Saker VW. Rayner drive me through to the Sandton branch to sign the paper work and I drove the vehicle out. Rayner assured me that he would deliver my licence disc in the next day or two . On the 5th of December I followed up with an email to Rayner and was again assured that the license would be delivered and the registration completed without delay . </p> <p> </p> <p>On the 9th of December I phoned Rayner and he assured me that he would follow up with his guy on Monday the 12th of December. I sent Rayner an email on the 12th of December and was assured again that he was following up on it. On the 13th I phoned Rayner and demanded to know what the delay was. He then told me that the vehicle has to go through a road worthy and then only can the vehicle be registered in my name and the license disc be issued to me. He has now assured me that he will collect it on the morning of the 14th of December. Considering all the delays I choose to remain dubious until I have the license disc in my hands . </p> <p> </p> <p>I find the fact that I have had to follow up with Rayner for half a month and still haven't received the license absolutely unacceptable. He was in such a hurry to sell me the vehicle, but I cannot understand why it was handed over to me in the first place without the roadworthiness being done if this is a requirement for the re-registration of the vehicle . </p>
