Defected clutch
I bought a 2014 Polo TSI highline at VW Fourways, the car was second hand with 12 000 km and drove it for 8 days and the clutch broke. I drove it for less than 1000 km first of all and i never ride the clutch. The car broke while I was driving and it was towed to the nearest VW. It was found out that the clutch broke into pieces. I was then quoted R 15000 for the repairs. VW Lindsay Saker Fourways is refusing to pay for the repairs while warranty does not cover wear and tear. I have been without a car for 2 weeks now and I was not even offered a courtesy car. The service I got after my car broke down has been horrible. The car was falsely advertised first of all and I bought it because I thought it is new and I will not have problems. I feel like the clutch had its own issues when I got the car, I am not a horrible driver and I know a thing or two about clutches. I have never heard of anyone in my life who had this case. The only person that was helpful was the sales person although he has no authority to do anything.
