Broken car (clutch)

My wife bought a new car (VW 1.0 TSI Life 5DR) on the 26 January 2023(Lindsay's Saker VW Bloemfontein) with the initial kilometres of 5300. The sale person who assisted me in buying the car is Mr. Nardus Van Der Vyver. On the 14 March 2023 on my way from work suddenly the car had a problem with a clutch. I called VW Road Assistance and the car was towed to the nearest dealership which is Dutton Motors in Sasolburg. Dutton Motors send me a quotation to replace a clutch which is R21 648.90, and the current kilometres are 7725. I am not a new driver and this car is my third car and my driver's license is eleven (11) old of which I believe that I can't damage a clutch. Volkswagen (VW) doesn't explain how warranty entails in this matter.
