Bitter taste, Intergrity Highly questionable
Growing up in a family that believes in the brand VW and personally owning my second vw car. I must say Lindsay Saker Alberton left a bitter taste in my mouth and I am afraid I no longer want or wish for anyone to be associated with the brand! On Saturday 28/04/2018 I finally got an appointment to have my serviced for the 15000 kms after battling with the contact center and many false promises of returning my call. To my surprize there was more on that very Saturday I was informed by the service lady that the car does not come standard with a service plan, still in shock I went to the salesman who sold me the car Vernon Peterson who told me that the service plan comes standard from polo models upwards and presented me with a advice record that was created, on 22/06/2017 08:50 AM, before I took delivery of the vehicle, on 23/06/2017, and apparently that record of advice was used to draw up my contract. There is a section on the advice record that states that I was offered an optional service plan and apparently I declined and agreed to pay R1500 for the vehicle service. Funny that this section has never been modified since the date and time of creation i.e. 22/06/2017 08:50 AM note that I only signed the electronic contract on the 22/06/2017 09:53AM which made no reference to the fact that I had to pay cash or that the vehicle did not come standard with a service plan. Having had a vehicle with KIA since 2014 and had the car serviced by them a couple of times, I just couldn't believe how I would agree to get cover to minor scratches and dents over a 'service plan' which has the potential to void my warranty? Or how would I agree to paying R1500 and suddenly 'act' surprized? Venom referred my complaint to Thea who is at this very moment unable to provide any logical evidence of when the offer was made and me specifically declining. On the day of delivery(23/06/2017) Thea handed the sign off process to her colleague who 'discussed' everything and even offered me optional scratch and dent cover which I gladly accepted. It was only yesterday that Thea forward me a quote for the service plan. All I ask for is logical evidence showing when the option was offered and me specifically declining the offer! I'll be forwarding my case to the Ombud by end of the today
