Bad after sale service from VW
Over four weeks ago on a Monday, I took my VW T6 kombi into the Kempton Park dealership’s service department for a faulty seat to be repaired. Later that afternoon they called to let me know that they’re gonna keep the car overnight as they’re struggling to fix the seat. The next day went by without any update, the third day I went to the dealership and they told me they’re still struggling to fix the seat, I then proceeded to take the car as I needed a ride to get back home and left the seat as it was already detached from the car. Waited for few days with no update from the service advisor. On Saturday I drove to the dealership to check what’s going on, on arrival the service referred me to one of the guys from the workshop who explained to me as to what’s happening with the seat and told me they have to order a new base, which they promise will arrive the following week. Mind you this bus is supposed to be working, but because of the missing seat, it can’t so I had to park it at home and patiently wait for the seat. The following week after a few days I went back to the dealership hoping my seat is sorted, only to be told that they need to reorder a complete seat as they’ve ordered only the base of the seat and that won’t work. Weeks have gone and past. I don’t get any update from the dealership, none whatsoever, I had to call in every time or physically go there to check for updates and every time they would tell me I would get the seat in two or three days and that never happened. After four weeks I finally called the service manager who promised I would get the seat that day, he handed me to the same workshop guy who promised to bring the seat himself later that afternoon, after getting all my details. Later in the afternoon he called and told me he doesn’t know the area well, so he’ll send the driver to bring it in the morning and I specifically told him that I’ll only be available before 9am as I have a few meeting lined up for the day. 08:30 I moved my first meeting to later time to accommodate them as they’ve already disappointed me multiple times and I wasn’t expecting anything different. 10:00 their driver called and told me he’s on the way, sigh of relief (finally the car will start working and maybe make a little to cover it’s monthly installment) 11:00 I call the service manager as to what’s going on, he tells me the driver left long time ago, but I stay 10 minutes away from the dealership and he called me an hour ago to let me know that he’s on the way. 12:00 I’m already late for my meeting and decide to leave the house with hopes of meeting him at the gate. Well I still haven’t received my seat as I write this.
