RENAULT FOURWAYS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
On 19/05/2021 I purchase a NEW RENAULT TRIBER 1.0 PRESTIGE AMT ( CASH PURCHASE) at Renault Fourways and was assisted by Salesman Mr. Johannes Maropeng. I fetched the vehicle and as I was driving I heard a strange sound coming from the front, I immediately contacted Mr. Maropeng maybe I'm not used to driving that type of vehicle. 10/JUNE/2021 the Certificate of Registration was delivered to me and to my surprise it stated that the vehicle is 'USED' instead of 'NEW" ,I again contacted Mr. Maropeng and his response was that this is not a big deal and has no impact on the vehicle. On 12/august/2021 I was driving the vehicle and the Engine Light went ON ,the vehicle started loosing Power and I then parked the vehicle ,called Mr. Maropeng who advised me to take the vehicle in to a dealership to get it checked out. Which I did. When the towing truck came ,the gentleman realized that the vehicle did not have a Towing Hook. He made means to get the vehicle loaded on the Tow Truck and delivered it at Renault Hatfield since I reside in Pretoria. The vehicle was taken to the workshop and after some time I was told that it needed to be RESET due to Faults and I can take it back, which I did. I was also advised that the vehicle falls under a batch of vehicles that where Recalled due to some Bonnet Specification error and the dealership where I purchased the vehicle was supposed to inform me of this and arrange for it to be done.13/SEPTEMBER/2021 I experienced that very same problem again while I was on my way to work. Fortunately I was almost 2 minutes away from my work. I parked the vehicle then immediately contacted Mr. Maropeng who then said He will escalate the matter with His Manager (Mr. Naidoo) and furthermore send a driver to collect the vehicle so it can be checked at their Dealership. The driver was only sent the next day on 14/SEPTEMBER/2021. The vehicle was again returned back to me with "FAULTS CLEARED" 16/SEPTEMBER/2021 I wrote an email to both the Salesman Mr. Maropeng and his Manager requesting that they explain what the Engine Light of the Vehicle keeps coming on ,what faults are they clearing on a brand new vehicle, why the car didn't come with a Tow Hook, What guarantee am I given that the vehicle will not give me anymore problems, TO THIS DAY I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY RESPONSE. When I CALLED Mr. Maropeng to let him know that I no longer want the vehicle as its giving me problems He said he no longer work's for Renault Fourways and advised that I should raise my matter with the OMBUDSMAN.I have never driven this vehicle for more than two months without the ENGEN LIGHT coming On and each time I take it to the dealership. The last straw when the vehicle failed to start on 17/JUNE/2022. I called my insurance and the vehicle was towed to Renault Fourways. When i got there i was assisted by Mr. V Naicker, I told him that I do not want the vehicle anymore as it has been a problem from day1.He said he cant make the decision to take the vehicle back and refund me my money and he had to speak to his Principal Dealer. The Principal Dealer said they would have to escalate my problem to Renault S.A. Currently the vehicle is still at Renault Fourways ,On the day i took the vehicle in Mr. Naicker claimed not to be aware of my problem however I discovered that the matter was escalated to him from the beginning and he's been with Renault Fourways for almost five years so he is fully aware. All I want is for Renault Fourways to keep their vehicle and REFUND ME MY MONEY instead of sending me from pillar to post. No new vehicle should have an ENGINE LIGHT that constantly comes on.
