Service Plan Renewal Disappointment.

Utterly disappointed with the response i received from MotoVantage, regarding the extension of my current service plan cover. I was covered for 45000km/3yrs on my Toyota Etios, from March 2023 to March 2026. It happens now that my cover has lapsed on 185000km, currently I am on 186 150km. Realizing this today i called MotoVantage trying to extend my plan. My vehicle has a 10000km cycle of which my last service was in May 2025. I was told i would have to wait for six debit orders to be covered again. Which is a bit steep for me, i don't mind having to be on waiting period but for 6 Debits!!!! Currently on 186 150, on 10000 cycle and how 10000km can go fast on anyone seems too harsh a wait. Having had no problems as a customer with their service over the years, and was willing to extend, its utterly disappointing.

As per the reply i got from MotoVantage, cutting off my cover...

Good Day Jabulani,
If you can follow my request, it’s not saying I'm requesting for a waiting period waiver. My plea is that 6months on a policy with which can be carried over or continue as per my request.
The least that can be done seeing you are thorough in cutting off services, my one was that, this was done without prior notice, if we really getting into technicalities.
I said my wish is to continue, to keep up the value of services and my cars value while we at that.
I'm in the middle of my service cycle, and you cant predict that my Km’s would get to 6 premiums.
Unless you are saying to me we are done you can move on, while your cover is the one that's left me in this mess in the first place.
I've had the same experience with other service providers, and the matters were resolved amicably.
So the least that can be done is 4 debits which I'm willing to wait for, that can be a penalty for the lapse.
For 6 months on a cover that's left me here in the first place is totally unfair.
Regards. Nelson Tau
