Shoddy and no after sales service by Motorola Cellphone.

My son bought me a Motorola E13 for my birthday. on Sunday 4 August 2024 I accidently dropped my phone, and the screen cracked. Since then, I have tried to find a Motorola service center to have my screen replaced only to find out that Motorola has no service/repair center in South Africa. How can a Cellphone company, that once left South Africa, and now wanting once again regain entrance into the South African Cellphone market not open service/repair centers in South Africa? This is exceedingly bad customer service. Do they believe that their cellphones are indestructible?

When I spoke to Motorola via Facebook Messenger, all they could help me with was to go to the shop my son bought the cellphone from and get them to replace the screen. As it was their only way they could "help" me, I did go to the shop, Pep Stores in Karaglen, I left my Purchase slip and my contact number with them with the promise that they would contact me by Tuesday 27 August 2024, to let me know if they would replace my screen for me. Pep Stores, I was told, only does warranty repairs, the screen they say is my problem to get repaired. The saleswoman I spoke to said she'd contact their service center and inquire if they could or would repair the screen for me. As I've already stated, it is now the 29th of August, and I still have not had a reply. Oh, I should add here that I was told by the saleswoman that I should purchase another cellphone.

If this is the sort of after sales service offered by Motorola and Pep Stores, it makes me want to let everyone know that if anyone is thinking of purchasing a new cellphone, the last cellphone they should even consider purchasing is a Motorola.

To end my complaint on Motorola, their phones ARE NOT INDISTRUCTABLE, and if and when they decided to re-enter the South African cellphone market, they should have opened service/repair centers around the country. Also, they need to improve on their AFTER SALES SERVICE, which comes round to opening service repair centers.

I now have a new cellphone with a damaged screen which no one is willing repair for me. This is disgusting and shoddy after sales service by Motorola.
