Wont Wait 19days for full payment of debt and bullying to repossess

I lost my job in November 2015 and alerted MFC of my financial status and remained in constant contact with them monthly. I answered every call and returned every email and always assured the callers that I had every intention of honouring my outstanding debt with the bank. I received a call yesterday from an external collector demanding that I relinquish my vehicle financed by MFC after I had informed him and several other representatives that I had just started a new job (1 May 2016) and just need 19 days grace and I will settle my debt in full. I fail to understand how waiting 19 days for full payment is not acceptable, I suspect it is because MFC and the external agent will be benefiting from my obvious misfortune. The manager of collections has declined my request for extension. I am going to be sending the CEO an email and escalating this matter and also getting in contact with all the authorities who exist to protect the consumer against these organisations that benefit off misfortune in a country that is very clearly struggling with unemployment and is in the midst of a recession. How is it possible that 19days is an unreasonable request?
