Unwillingness to assist with reduced installments

1st week of December 2015,I received summons from MFC attorneys demanding R62000 for the arrears of the car,I responded to the summons and paid R68000 covering the full arrears plus the December instalment. I then requested them via email,to accept R1000 pm as a reduced instalment whilst I'm waiting for the deceased estate to be finalised as it was still in the process of being wound up.They blatantly refused and not even willing to negotiate any reduced payment. The lady called Candy even put it clearly that it's not MFC's problem that I lost a husband last year and she'll be very insensitive here and tells me to pay the whole amount in full otherwise the sheriff is coming to collect. I asked her why didn't they close last year's file since I paid the amount demanded in full but instead they combined the January instalment with last year's file.She insisted that they'll be taking the car and there's nothing I can do about it.I asked her why are banks saying clients must come forth whilst they're not willing to assist especially when one is dealing with the loss of their loved ones who used to provide for such? MFC are vultures! This is really appalling!!
