Unprecedent Covid-19 payment holiday does affect your credit record!

I app**** to upgrade my FNB account only to be told it was declined due to a notice on my MFC account for a payment arrangement that was made. The payment holiday was for a 3 month relief due to the international unprecedented event called Covid-19 and now my credit score is being affected when offered relief? I have emailed *** twice to get a letter from MFC/Nedbank to state that it was due to Covid-19 that this relief was initiated and still waiting. Why is my credit score/record being negatively affected by an event that was not of my mismanagement of funds in any way. According to the Call Centre lady, this will affect my scoring for 6 months. We have also just app**** for a Home Loan at various financial institutions where it ultimately also affects the outcome of those applications. I feel it is really unfair to a penalize me for something that was outside of my control when on various platforms it was communicated that because it is an unprecedented event, people's credit records WON'T BE AFFECTED. Had I known that, I would have made an alternative plan.
