Unfair treatment of customers and violation of laws by MFC
MFC's treatment towards me have been absolutely unfair and they have actually sabotaged all attempts I have made to come to a fair arrangement on one of my accounts with them. MFC has only been interested in repossession of the vehicle and financial ruining my standing and credit profile, all attempts that I have made to fairly resolve the situation has gone ignored. I've been trying to resolve matters with MFC since September of 2019 when I lost my job, I sent affidavits and ran around to facilitate an assisted sale agreement at their request, for which I had 3 willing buyers of the vehicle, instead MFC unreasonably chose to refuse to proceed with the deals in favor of repossessing the vehicle. The agreements with buyers would have released me from the agreement in December/January of 2020 already. Instead their actions have only but further dragged me into debt and has further tarnished my credit record. MFC has made it impossible for me to fairly and amicably come to an arrangement by never having one single person or department to liaise with on this matter. To date I have dealt with at least 20 different people and every week there is someone new who gets assigned to the account, leaving me extremely frustrated.I have been insulted, intimidated, physically threatened, sworn at, screamed at and hung up on on several occasions. MFC has what they refer to as the "reward programme", an ******* scheme that incentivises their partners to intimidate customers into making payments or agreeing to repossession. MFC's practices are designed to be unfair to the customer and their recoveries process is designed to frustrate customers and make it impossible to effectively come to a fair arrangement. It's impossible to make a fair legal arrangement when one has to deal with different people every other week and each one of them is more interested in humiliating the customer instead of objectively dealing with the customer's query. I had another account which I amicably settled with MFC last month, despite that account also having been in arrears and having owed more than what is actually owed on the account that they've decided to prejudice me against. That in itself depicts the level of mindblowing prejudice and inconsistency that MFC has in how they deal with their customers. MFC has also violated the protection of information act, when one of its representatives acting on behalf of MFC, made public my financial dealings with MFC without my consent. This is absolutely ********* and infuriating considering the fact that I've been a consistent customer of MFC for more than 6 years and until the time I lost my job a few months ago, my accounts had always been paid on time. Now I find myself in the middle of COVID, with a debt could have been avoided if MFC was actually interested in acting fairly towards its customers. MFC has also on several occasions *******ly debited my account without my consent for amounts and at dates that we never agreed on. I expect a response, an apology and a fair resolution of this matter from MFC as this kind of treatment deserves the public's attention.
