Request for Assistance Regarding Account Arrangement

I am writing to formally bring to your attention the situation regarding my account, which had fallen into arrears in the amount of R23,000 and was subsequently handed over for collection. During my engagement with your representative, I expressed my commitment to settle the arrears and requested to split one month’s instalment into three equal payments. However, I was informed that such an arrangement could only be considered if I paid 70% of the arrears upfront. Following this, I was contacted by the debt collectors and managed to make a full payment of R23,000. I was under the impression that once the arrears were cleared, I would be eligible to enter into a payment arrangement for the current instalment. Unfortunately, I have now been informed by the debt collector that no such arrangement was recorded on my file. I am pleading with anyone in authority to urgently review and assist with this matter. The financial hardship I experienced was due to the passing of my mother and the mechanical breakdown of the very vehicle in question. These events placed me under severe financial strain, and I am doing my utmost to meet my obligations while supporting my family and managing other accounts. I respectfully request that my situation be reconsidered and that a feasible payment arrangement be granted to avoid further distress.
