Penalised for no valid reason!!!!!!!!

During 2029 when I was unemployed, MFC graciously gave me a payment holiday whereby my first installment was only due 29 December. I honoured this agreement and made my payment 29 December via EFT.

I have recently received calls from their collections department telling me I owe a R752 penalty fee for the installment that was not paid in NOVEMBER! My agreement which I have on email and an agreement addendum from MFC was first payment to be on 29 December, so how can I be charged a penalty for November when there was NO payment due for November. There was no payment due for November so why am I receiving a penalty for it?

When collections called me, I clearly explained this and the only solution Xolani had for me was to send me an sms with a link to the R752 that I do not owe them.

I then emailed to 3 email addresses outlining my complaint and seeking to resolve this matter accordingly only to be emailed back being told someone from collections will call me, but the collections department clearly indicated that they don't have information about my payment arrangement and to email through to MFC which I did. I received emails telling me they will follow up with the matter and still have not had any resolve from them about it.

I now receive another call from their collections and as soon as I asked if this is with regards to the R752 that I do not owe, the guy just hung up on me.

I would like this matter resolved ASAP as I do not owe MFC any penalty fee at all for November as the arrangement and addendum was first payment in December. How can I be charged a penalty for a payment that was not arranged for?

I have tried to contact you formally to resolve this yet your collections are still calling me for money that I do not owe you. Why am I being told you will escalate this to collections, when collections have no idea about my payment arrangement or addendum and I have clearly been told by collections that they don't know about my new payment arrangement or addendum. How can collections assist me if they have no idea what I'm talking about. How can collections assist me if they are the problem? It's terrible that I have had to resort to this platform just to get this matter solved
