not reliable at all

In 2010 I bought a car through MFC and everything was going well. The following year they called and offered me a protection plan to cover in case I lose a my job and It was added to my monthly instalment. I accepted the offer because it was affordable and reasonable. A year later I lost my job and I informed them about the situation as I was searching for employment but unfortunately I could not find the employment early enough to pay up my arrears. The car was then repossessed but later on the same week I found employment I contacted them before the car was sent for auction. I was told to pay the entire amount of arrears upfront to save it. Unfortunately I didn't have that kind of money I then gave up. A month later I received a call from MFC informing me of outstanding debt that I still needed to settle. I said to them I thought that was going to be covered by the protection plan that I had with them. The caller told me they don't offer such services. I then asked her to check in her system how much I was paying them as the plan fee was included in my monthly instalment. She never did now I'm being chased by debt collectors demanding 28000 that they cannot even explain.
