misrepresentation & profile update at transunion

My account, was settled in december 2014 & the paid up letter was sent to me in january 2015. I contacted Transunion this morning & they advised that mfc listed me at the itc since Im owing them R29 000. This came as a shock because before settling my account in december I did enquire from one of their consultants if I was listed since I owed a lot of money but the answer was NO. I then didnt bother to check my status at itc. This week my wife's vehicle finace application was rejected due to my name being listed. Im not happy with the misrepresentation that was relayed to me. please ask them to update my account status at itc
