Mfc took my car under false pretenses

I brought a brand new Chevy spark in 2017 through MFC, I bought it at Williams Hunt in Pretoria. My installment was R3223 with a balloon payment of R36000. I didn't realise how much I was being ********** until people told me that my interest rate (which is more that 13%) was too high, so the saleman whose name is Theo, ripped me off as it was my first car. Anyway I paid the car from 2017 July up until January 2021, by this time I was unemployed due to unforseen circumstances. I advised MFC and they said it was still in the early stages of collection, this was around March when I was about R7500 or so in arrears. MFC then started calling me and advised that they can keep the car in 'storage' for me until I get back on my feet. So me, being an honest law abiding citizen, I believed them and let them collect the car to store for me. I now have a plan to pay for it, in installments but they recently sent me an sms informing me the following: The asset ito account number *** was valued by a sworn appraiser for the amount of R42,000.00 on 19 Mar 2021. They never informed me that they were repossesing my car, they came under false pretenses, took the car, had it valued and decided to auction it, all without my consent. The car has done less that 56000kms and is in great condition, how can it be valued at R42000?? My intention was to get it back but it seems like I won't be able to since they informed me of the following: The asset ito account number.... will be placed on public auction on 21 Apr 2021 attended to by MFC Auction House Gauteng. Nedbank ***. They **** about taking the car to store it, the gentleman who came to take the car said they would keep it for 6 months. So basically they took it, had it valued and are going to auction it tomorrow, all without my consent. They haven't called me and I never agreed to any of this. MFC has a lot to answer for, I am raising this here and will be raising it to the ombudsman as well.
