MFC not forthcoming

I had an MFC Finance i took last year ,my car was written off this year May.i was paying my installments as arranged with the finance department,until one of the MFC Consultant advise me to take a convid 19 breaks as i was resolving my insurance issues ,insurance has paid i was left with a Short fall of 27000k which was paying since from May i never missed any installments but the account was listed on arreas,results is blocking me from been approved by other bank ,i ask mfc to refinance me as the installment was lil higher to settle my shortfall, it could add up still get me a car of equivalent to the original installment i was paying.i can only be approved by other banks with high interest rates,why is it so hard for mfc to refinance me on the same interest rate as before ,rather than paying for a car i don't have at the high value.
