MFC dont want private business

I app**** for private finance to buy a vehicle. After a lengthy process of completing forms and supplying evidence the finance was approved subject to clearance.(Compliments to Kenneth for his efforts). I had seen the sellers documentation and it seemed fine - invoice, receipt, title and registration etc. MFC were not satisfied. They want the seller to trace the vehicle history back to the original purchaser or a bank finance deal before they will consider it. The seller is a private individual. Surely MFC can do that through the licensing department easier than a private individual ? Isn't that part of the R3600 transaction fee ? Apparently not. MFC's attitude is rules is rules (OK with that) and sorry for you (not OK with that). So my advice is do not use MFC for private finance because they do not want the deals. I am annoyed that this was not made clear from the start. I am annoyed that my expectations and those of the seller have been cruelly dashed without even an apology. I am annoyed by the attitude of the MFC lady (Kay) on the phone who spoke over me constantly and seemed oblivious to my disappointment. Come on MFC you need to do some customer empathy and service training.
