MFC Debit orders
When I bought my car, I stated that my debit order date with MFC must be 25th of each month. I received a sms on 21/09/2017 at 17h11 stating that my debit order will fall on 23/09/2017 due to 25/09/2017 being a public holiday. I immediately phoned the call centre nr ********** , just to hear that I need to phone back during office hours (8h00 - 17h00). I phoned the call centre the next day at 8h00 on 22/09/2017 to query this. The call centre agent Ronald told me that the debit order was loaded on 22/09/2017 however the debit order will only go through if there is money in the account. I told him that I have money in the account but that i need to use it for something else. He said that the debit order cannot be reversed and that they informed the members by sending an sms. Its so convenient that MFC sends sms's after hours when you cannot get hold of them and then when you do get hold of them, its too late to do anything about it. I now need to go and draw all the money out of my account, which will cost me bank fees just so that I have money for the weekend instead of paying MFC when they feel like debiting a person's account. My contract clearly states my debit order date however it seems as MFC can do what they like and not stick to singed contract terms. This is terrible service and underhanded and I recommend anyone who gets any future financing - PLEASE DO NOT USE MFC.
