Mfc car finance tried to reep me off

It is strange how banks can just add things and debit more money with your knowledge of what exactly they sign you up for/what are the benefits. So mfc sent me an email requesting my comprehensive cover and I sent it through but it kept bouncing back until I called and found out why and I was provided with another email address to send it too. I sent it and even received a confirmation that they did receive it then on the 25th they decided to debit R1000 more from the usual amount. I had to go reverse it, now when I call them this morning they say my account will be in arrears since it is said in their contract that if I don't send proof of my comprehensive cover they will add it(cover that I don't even know what exactly does it entails) but now that's the problem.... I did sent it through, and even received a confirmation.

Why must we get reeped off like that. Unnecessary charges bank charges 😡😡😡
