MFC BULLIES

If I could give MFC 0 stars I would do so. I, like many people have struggled with keeping up payments since the pendemic. I have always made it a point to communicate with the bank and the relationship has worked well and always cordial. However in the recent months, due to unexpected expenses I have fallen 3 months and arrears and my account has been handed to the legal collections department. I received a call on Monday on my office line and the receptionist informed that I was in a meeting. The debt collector, an aggressive Thys Van Der Merwe, then demanded to speak to my superior who refused. I called him back after my meeting and he proceeded to tell me that if I do not settle the arrears or hand back the car, he will have no choice but to drive to my office and to cause a scene, which would be very embarrassing. I contacted mfc via email to complain about the bullying. While I do acknowledge the arrears, there are ways to do this legally with respect and not resort to bullying and threats of humiliation.

Needless to say my account was taken to a Ms Daphney Radziilani who is the rudest woman I have ever encountered. When you ask that she call you back as you are in a work set up, she continues talking over you. I got a call back from the same Thys I had complained about saying that Daphney had instructed him to call me as I refuse to take her calls. Thys proceeded to tell me that a contracted would be awarded to 10 men who will hunt for the car and the first man to get it from me will receive the award. This is tantamount to being hunted like an animal. I am appauled at the bulling and threats used by MFC and their associates when there are perfectly legal ways to go ahead with a repossession available.
