MCF/INNOVATION GROUP

Through the MFC Group, financier of a vehicle bought, I was contacted by the INNOVATION GROUP for an extended motor warranty on my purchased FORD RANGER XLT 3.2 Double Cab. The telemarketer soothed my worries of extended warranties being a waste of money by confirming or stating that the INNOVATION GROUP honors it's policies, if it breaks, they fix it (I am sure that it has to be a reasonable claim, such as the owner of the vehicle should not try to destroy his car!). I took out an extended warranty of 200,000km. Lo and behold, I noticed a small new clicking noise on the engine. The vehicle was taken to a FORD Dealership (where the vehicle was ALWAYS serviced, and serviced on time, no skipping. I was informed that they will have to replace the engine at a cost of R131,000. I stated that they must submit a claim to the INNOVATION GROUP. The INNOVATION GROUP (without sending an assessor) refused the claim. I requested to take the vehicle for a second opinion with Steve's Auto Clinic. INNOVATION agreed and gave permission. Same verdict, the Engine had to be replaced. Rebuild engine = R85,000-00. INNOVATION stated that they would pay R9,000 (apparently for some part - I am not a mechanic), and I had (I don't know why) to make no further claim. I had to pay the full amount to SAC, and INNOVATION GROUP, paid not ONE CENT, to this day. 10 days (after waiting three months, with no vehicle made available - as clearly stated in their contract that they would supply a loan vehicle) later they Auto gearbox started slipping, it was towed to SAC, gearbox had to be replaced. Another claim to INNOVATION. INNOVATION refutes the claim, stating that because the engine broke (it didn''t - it had a piston slap and still ran perfectly), the gearbox claim cannot be paid according to INNOVATION GROUP (remember... INNOVATION still -and never did- paid ONE CENT). I had to pay another R40,000 odd thousand. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE??? If I had the money to take them to court, I would have, being out of pocket by more than a R100,000 almost bankrupted me. Complaint to MFC (who was the lead for INNIVATION) came to zero. This is no less than CRINIMAL *****.
