Lack of empathy and unwillingness to assist with payment break extension
Lack of empathy
I was surprisingly retrenched in December, this was a first time for me and came as a huge shock. Unfortunately I didn't have the necessary insurance back ups in place. MFC was kind enough to allow me a 3 month payment break based on retrenchment, which I was truly grateful for.
Sadly this whole pandemic of Covid hit us in March which made it completely impossible for me to secure any type of employment for the past 5 months. MFC did extend the payment break based, this time due to Covid19, unfortunately this was completely out of my control. No one saw this coming.
As of August both my parents were diagnosed with Covid one week apart, I had come into contact with both of them as I took them for the testing and had no choice but to self isolate on both occasions for a total of 20'days, in fact I'm still isolating.
Once again completely out of my control. I had a Collections Agent from MFC call me on Monday this week, extremely rude and lacked empathy to my position, Priseldene Boaz, insisted that if I.Don't pay Augusts instalment by this Friday, my car will be taken away.
I have been a paying customer for the past 3 years, I really understand that I have been given a payment break however, this entire situation is out of my control. I'm just asking for a max of further 2 months the most as I'm only able to go for interviews now and secure employment.
How can I have obtained employment if I was never in a position to do so. There are thousands in a similar position as me which means Nedbank, MFC is just going to turn a blind eye to our plight knowing it's completely out of our control.
The Agent was down right rude, arrogant and took zero understanding to my plight. I really hope my situation can be understood and MFC will just assist me for a short while more.
