Is everything automated now?

I'm an existing client of MFC and looking to settle my current finance. I've received my settlement figure and the NATIS documents. While I'm in process of settling I wanted to find out how much I can finance another vehicle for... (Its a private sale). I saw an online application process but being an existing client I thought I could phone in and get a sales consultant to assist. I was told only online applications can be done. The online application wont take into account that I would be settling the previous finance. Plus being an existing client who always paid his premiums and settling early I would ask for a better interest rate and so forth however would an online application allow for this? What happened to personal banking? very disappointed in MFC which is a division on Nedbank. I will be looking at other options...
