Irregular nehaviour?

I am in arrears with my car installment by R8000. I missed the collectors call on 1 day and received an sms stating that I am avoiding the call (despite me saying that I was in meetings the entire day). I also received an sms with a picture of my house saying that the collector from MFC had been to my house because I did not answer the call. I find this highly irregular. Is this really normal practice for MFC?
